One of the biggest lessons life has taught me—especially as a single #thriving mum—is the power of finances.

Yes, God is the ultimate Provider. He shows up in ways that still leave me in awe. But faith does not cancel wisdom, and prayer does not replace preparation.

Today, I want to talk about one of the quiet reasons many people—especially women—remain in painful, unhealthy, or limiting situations; the inability to provide adequately for themselves and their children.

I have watched women pour out everything—time, energy, love, vision—into helping their partners succeed. They paused their own dreams, silenced their own calling, and delayed their own financial growth “for the family.”
Then years later, they are left trying to rebuild from scratch. Sometimes, they face this challenge without the person they sacrificed the most for. They ask themselves questions no one prepared them for:
How do I start again? How do I survive? Where do I even begin? Is it too late?

Let me be clear—being a wife and a mother is a calling. A sacred one. Sacrifice is sometimes part of that calling.
But God did not design you to disappear in the process!

He planted gifts inside you on purpose. He called you to prosper, to flourish, to live a life of abundance—not just spiritually, but wholly.

Woman was created as a helpmate—not an afterthought. A partner in fulfilling Kingdom purpose. A vessel of Glory.
You carry assignments heaven wants fulfilled, and those assignments require capacity; emotional, spiritual, and financial.

This is why I am becoming increasingly passionate about seeing women thrive in every season. This includes women who are married or single, and mothers or not.
Scripture backs this up beautifully:

  • Deborah was a judge.
  • The daughters of Zelophehad boldly demanded an inheritance.
  • Esther rose when history called her name.
  • Ruth went to work at the threshing floor.
  • Lydia, a successful businesswoman, funded the spread of the Gospel.

Different stories. Same truth: we are more.

Finances should never be the reason someone stays stuck, silent, or unsafe.

Stay Focused on the Target!

So here’s my challenge to you this year:
Start small—but start.
Save a portion.
Learn something new.
Invest wisely.
Expand your mind.
And yes—start that business (I did too… shameless plug, please support @the.jolloffactory on Instagram 😉).

I dare you to begin.
Because when you move with intention, the breath of the Lord meets effort and He crowns it with success.

Here’s to thriving intentionally, boldly, and unapologetically.

Happy thriving,
Love always,
Ife
