Today, you gave it your all. You showed your kids that you’ve got their backs and that you’ll always be their safe haven. Was it easy? Heck no. Between the endless parade of couple-matching Christmas PJs and the “Merry Christmas from me and mine” posts flooding your feed, it’s easy to feel a little alone. Meanwhile, you’re out here pulling off miracles, creating magical memories for your child while trying to fill a void you didn’t create.
If no one’s said it to you yet, let me be the first: Well done. You’re incredible. You’re a rockstar. Seriously, I’m so proud of you.
The holidays for single parents? They’re a rollercoaster—exhausting and emotional. But let me promise you something: it’s worth it. Want proof? Let me share a little moment from my day. After all the chaos, my one-year-old—yes, one-year-old!—came to lay beside me, showering me with kisses. In that instant, I knew every late night, every sacrifice, every ounce of effort was worth it. As her giggles echoed in our little bubble, I realized that despite all the hard days, God had given me the most precious gift for my journey.
And you know what? That gift isn’t just for me. It’s for you too. God chose you, loved you, and sent His son just for you. So, while you might be wondering where your “person” is or if love will find you, remember this: you’re already chosen.
I don’t know you personally, but I love you, I’m rooting for you, and I know you’ve got what it takes to keep showing up for your kids and yourself. So let’s raise a (non-spiked or spiked) cup of cocoa to you, the real MVP.
Merry Christmas, to an absolute legend!
